This was the day that the recently fabricated side tanks were delivered to the workshop to join the other components of the project. The tanks were collected from being shot blasted and primed.
The first view shows the left hand tank being lowered onto the carrier frames. This is only a temporary measure as it will be necessary to fix both tanks and the bunker in their final positions in readiness for the cab parts to be fitted in position. This will then be followed by placing the cab roof components in place. These have not yet been offered up to the rest of the cab and therefore will need careful positioning prior to being drilled. It is intended to fit a sliding vent in the cab roof as it is anticipated that this will be needed for the hot summer days.
The second and third view show the tanks and bunker resting on the carrier frames approximately in their correct positions. Also in these two views can be seen the coupled wheels for the power bogie.
